10 Tips to the Success of Working at Home Moms – A Tough Job:

                  Working-Home-Mom

Trend of making money from a home business, is growing at a phenomenal pace around the world. The beauty and the charm of working from home might look like an ideal business but let me make a clarification here; the task is not that easy, especially for the moms working from home.

Women working from home, who are taking care of young children, have the biggest fear of loosing momentum. Therefore, I made an effort to search few productivity tips but I swear it was not that easy because general tips for home workers are simply not applicable for mothers.

Still, I brainstormed and tried to short list a few tips, which can prove to be helpful and productive. Let us check them:

  • Build your working schedule with a To–Do–List, so you have a clear vision of your daily tasks.
  • Make you family members, friends and neighbors respect your working timings.
  • Identify the pockets of time when you can work with minimal distraction, it could be any part of the day, timings doesn’t matter.
  • Nap times of the kids are the chunks for working moms. During these hours try to do multi tasking because you can concentrate on several things free mindedly.
  • Deal with your minor family concerns before you get started with your work and clarify them what counts for an emergency to distract you.
  • Prepare to hang tough. Discourage phone calls with a prepared response, like “I will call you after four o’clock today.”
  • Set up a play corner in your house with safe toys to keep your kids busy when they are awake. This can minimize your disruptions.
  • Buy a laptop and cell phone and subscribe to a Wi-Fi Internet connection, so you could work in your kitchen, backyard, playroom, baby’s room, even in the playground.
  • Build short breaks in your schedule when you need to give your child complete concentration.
  • Finally yet importantly, don’t forget to spend quality time with your children so their needs for attention and love are being met.

I hope all these tips help the working moms out there but still I would advice them to testify their commitment and potential because work-at-home option is not favorable for everyone. Give some time to yourself, to find out how well you can manage working from home along with all the distractions.

Do let me know, if my guidelines and advice helped you in any way.

Best of Luck! Hope you achieve your goals.
